Warwick Neck Waterfront Renovation
EXISTING
This 1980s contemporary-style home, set on two scenic acres overlooking Narragansett Bay, was in need of thoughtful restoration and reimagining. The owners sought to make better use of the underutilized second-story space by reclaiming square footage lost to the original roofline.
Their goal was to create an additional bedroom and full bath to accommodate their growing family, while updating the home’s overall aesthetic to reflect the New England coastal style more commonly found on such picturesque waterfront sites.
Our design approach focused on blending the home's original character with timeless coastal elements. By replacing the harsh angle roof and replacing it with a more traditional gable roof and long shed dormer, we were able to expand the upper level and flood the interior with natural light. The updated exterior now complements the surrounding landscape and enhances the home's connection to its stunning bayfront setting.
This renovation not only improves functionality and livability but also transforms the home into a warm, inviting space that feels rooted in its coastal environment.
