Rochambeau
Originally built in 1920, this East Side home is undergoing a thoughtful transformation that honors its historic charm while introducing elegant new living spaces. The homeowners envisioned a seamless expansion that would enhance both functionality and architectural character.
The proposed design includes a second-floor master suite addition at the rear of the home, paired with a third-floor guest suite above. These new spaces offer privacy and comfort while integrating harmoniously with the existing structure.
On the first floor, the plan features a 160 SF screened-in porch and an open patio, creating inviting outdoor areas for relaxation and entertaining. A striking turret addition anchors the rear corner of the home, adding vertical interest and a sense of grandeur. Complementing this are a new eyebrow roof and deck insets, which introduce soft curves and layered depth to the rear elevation.
Together, these elements elevate the home’s visual appeal and contribute positively to the architectural fabric of the neighborhood. The design balances tradition and innovation, ensuring the residence remains a timeless and welcoming presence on the East Side.
