Beavertail Renovation

This existing four-story home with a roof deck had evolved over time through a series of prefabricated additions, resulting in a quirky and disjointed composition. As the new owners moved in, their son affectionately referred to part of the structure as a “tree fort”—a name that perfectly captured its playful, unconventional nature. Our initial instinct was to hide this element and blend it into the overall architecture. But after thoughtful consideration, we realized the best solution was to celebrate it—to let it be what it is and elevate it through design. We reimagined the exterior with cohesive materials, trim, windows, and colors, creating a unified aesthetic that honors the home’s character while refining its visual language. Inside, we tackled the chaotic circulation, replacing three separate staircases with a single, streamlined stair that brings clarity and flow to the interior experience.

This project is a celebration of embracing the unexpected and turning architectural quirks into defining features.

Ron and his team were a pleasure to work with. They did a tremendous job of listening to our ideas and incorporating their expertise. We ended up with a beautiful design that we are very happy with. Truly a professional experience!
